Such a loving boy....

Ronan kissed our garden gnome the other day.

Ooooh....

I was thinking about U of L winning next year, and how I can be patient for that. Then, I remembered that when the tournament is played next year, Bush will be out of office. That made me feel so happy.

Game Commentators are Pretty Unnecessary

So, we lost. And I am disappointed, but I can be okay with Elite 8 until next season. But what I cannot stand is when you are watching a game and the commentators imprint themselves onto a player --ineveitably on the wrong team -- and will not shut up. This whole entire game all I heard was how great Tyler Hansbrough is. Two hours straight, and it was as if they had a thesaurus at the table. I am so worn out by it.

Camera

I am so ready to get my new camera I will kiss it upon opening the box. Seriously.

My Cards

Just a reminder that U of L plays their Elite 8 Game vs. UNC tonight. Being a die-hard fan, I am a bit nervous about how they'll do. They tend to get antsy and rushed and have been known to choke a bit. But they did so well against Tennessee this past Thursday, of course I have great amounts of faith in them. If they win, I will be so happy, if they lose I will survive and not demand the coach's head on a stick like UK fans do. Just hope along with me, send good vibes our way tonight.

Elisabeth is delusional

So while she sometimes says something witty or may make a little sense every now and then, I usually cannot listen to Elisabeth Hasselbeck for more than 30 seconds at a time. But I have to say even I was a bit startled by her getting thisclose to calling Barack Obama a racist while he was in the green room waiting to come on her show. You know, because of his association with Jeremiah Wright, and that maybe he only condemened Rev. Wright's words after they became public. I feel that maybe he set her straight today. Maybe she'll drop it and move on to something else. Probably not since that would be a lot to ask for.

President Walker

Ronan is the 2 year old, the last one, the one who is going to make my child bearing years go out with a bang. He is beautiful, fun, strong-willed, affectionate, always ready with the kisses, but he is not afraid of making it known that crossing him is discouraged. His loves are Elmo (Nono), Thomas the Tank Engine, Cars, and High School Musical 2. (He has seen it a lot). He calls it Hi Shoo. He thinks that he is in charge of our house, and if Izzy had anything to say about it he would be.

Ivan

My middle child is Ivan, my first son. He is a sweet spirit and also brilliant. I will brag that as a first grader he is reading the second volume of Harry Potter. He has 2 girlfriends: Ashlee Simpson and Miley Cyrus. He prefers Ashlee as a blonde, but says she's hot no matter what. He gets bored in school, loves football. He is starting to come into his own, and I think he's a little young to start using gel on his hair in order to make the small blond patch visible. It almost breaks my heart. He has these ridiculously thick eyelashes and big blue eyes. He wants to dance but I think is afraid of repercussions from anyone, so we have been watching Gene Kelly on YouTube for inspiration just in case he gets nerve.

Princess Isabel

Oh, she would die if she saw that title, but she really is a princess. Two brothers here, 2 at her father's house, and she seems to be getting used to the idea. She is almost 9, she is so brilliant, she sees right through smoke, and she is a strong-willed girl with a huge heart. Every day I see her taking shape and see her mind working and her shell breaking open. She is quite a critical, free thinker and she is showing some artistic sensibilities. Her life long dream is to work with animals. Who knew that being liberal was a genetic trait? She is so far, and seriously, not from any pushing from me. At the age of six she asked me how Dick Cheney could confuse a man with a bird and then proceed to shoot him. I was more shocked that she had seen the news than anything.

And it begins...

I have always had this great idea of wanting to start a blog, but for some reason have yet to do so. This is a good way to update my friends and family with what is going on in my life and maybe see updated pictures of the kids. Kind of find out what's going on with me.
