Many Faces of Ronan

Ivan

Those who have been paying attention will notice that there are not as many Ivan posts. And there is a good reason for that. My sweet man will not have his picture taken if he is not "posing". Therefore candid shots, capturing him doing anything spontaneous...forget it! Even in the one where they are walking he is making sure to get in the camera the right way...I am hoping he will grow out of it. Sooner rather than later.

I gave birth to Fred Sanford.

So, I was taking pictures and we were in the alley, and our neighbors had left their junk outside, as it was junk pickup time for the City of Louisville, and she just plopped in the chair. I thought of a grest show, with the best theme song. She tried to convince me that we needed to take it and reupholster it. While visions of choosing the perfect fabric danced in my head, I noticed the chair cushion was more than shot. Boo.

Smith Anniversary Party

I shot a 70th Anniversary party last weekend. Everyone came to celebrate this couple, George Frank and Anna Belle, and you could feel the love from the family, the friends, and still between each other. They were so sweet, and such an inspiration. It was a little sad in some ways, though. It made my heart ache for my grandfather, who has been gone for 20 years. It reminded me of the love that he and my grandmother shared, and I wished I could have shot their 70th, too. Anyway, it was still nice to be in a place with that much love and comfort. Bonus: the first lady of Ohio, Frances Strickland, was there. She is one of the couple's daughters. It was great to meet her. Here are some shots from that day.

Izzy Comes Home

Izzy has been having a blast with her grandparents in Florida. But she is coming home tomorrow. She just called to say hi, and when I heard her little voice, my heart soared. I cannot wait to see her, to squeeze her, to hear her pad around the house. I may dance around the airport.

Hanging with Ronan

Ronan and I played outside this afternoon. Though he doesn't get entertained by toys, balls, or bubbles. No...too easy. He enjoys wandering the backyard seeing what kind of escape he can find or how close he can get to the air conditioner. Haven't figured that one out yet. I guess it makes an interesting noise. I did get some hugs and kisses, though. And we did have a High School Musical 2 sing along.
